It's the Sunrise Solstice Art & Music Festival, June 14th & 15th in Tawas City at Shoreline Park on beautiful Tawas Bay! The Sunrise Solstice Art and Music Festival came into existence in the fall of 2017. It was the brainchild of a group of dedicated teachers at Tawas Area Schools as a means to support the Fine Arts Department of the school both conceptually and monetarily. The vision was to provide a festival that celebrated visual and musical artists. We believe that the best way to garner support for the arts is to provide our community a venue to experience the benefits of the arts in person. If people have an enjoyable experience with the arts, they are more likely to see the value and support them in their schools. It was also important to provide an opportunity for students and community members to display their artistry.

Friday, June 14th
We are kicking off the art festival with this year's Art Stroll on Friday, June 14th in downtown East Tawas, MI. The Art Stroll is an annual event put on by the Tawas Bay Art Gallery and this year we are working together to bring art and music all weekend long!
Saturday, June 15th 6am-9pm
Yoga will begin at 6am and last year it was AH-MAZING. We suggest bringing a towel rather than a mat -- easier to clean!
We have 13+ artists who will be creating their artwork throughout the day in different areas around Iosco County. Be sure to stop by the main station and ask where they will be located so you can stop by and see them in action!
Music will begin at 11am and you'll want to bring your lawn chair or a blanket to enjoy!! Feel free to bring a cooler along. Activities for the kids will be going pretty much from 10am-5pm so come bring the family!
Tickets for all activities can be purchased online (there is an additional fee for online ticket purchases) as well as at the ticket tent! We are and will be accepting donations throughout the day as well that will be used for bringing fun art and music activities to our students at Tawas Area Schools.
