The Ogemaw District Library, the Village of Prescott and Richland Township is please to announce our second annual National Night Out and Resource Fair, on August 6, 2024 from 5-8pm in the Village of Prescott, MI. We will be closing the area around the Ogemaw East Branch Library (200 Washington St). National Night is a national event that takes place on the first Tuesday in August. National Night Out was established in 1970 to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. In our small community with a county population of 21,000. It is important to also make connections within our community, so we included a resource fair to help make needed connections. We are pleased to see a growth in the number of police, fire departments, first responders and community organizations participating this year. There will be demonstrations, face painting, big bubbles, arts, and crafts during the event. See Fire Trucks, Ambulances, Police Cars, a Dump truck and so much more.
